To determine your faction bonus, a simple formula is used. Each bonus reduces based on current values, rather than base values. For example lets look at King faction, which reduces time by 24% per faction slot filled. 100 days will b used for the example, easy round number.
1st Faction 100 days - 24% = 76 days remaining, 24 less days as expected. Now lets try a 2nd.
2nd Faction 76 days - 24% = 57.76 days remaining. Reduction is applied to the result from above, reducing by 18.24 days which is 24% of 76, rather than basing it off of the original 100 days.
5 Factions would be 100 days - 24% - 24% - 24% - 24% - 24% = 25.4 days remaining. Another way to display is 100 * 0.76 * 0.76 * 0.76 * 0.76 * 0.76 = 25.4 days remaining.
A duke would be 100 days - 50% = 50 days if the Duke is factioned under a Baron. Or 100 - 4% - 4% - 4% - 4% = 85 days if 4 of the Duke's faction slots below him are filled. Or 100 - 4% - 4% - 50% = 46 days if the Duke is under a baron, and has 2 of his 5 factions filled.
